AUGI (aka the Autodesk User Group International) is taking a quick pulse on the industry, including job satisfaction, what specialties pay the most, as well as tech trends like the adoption of cloud computing.
As of July 2, according to AUGI’s Facebook page, the responses stand as follows:
- 32% did not receive a raise last year
- 8% quit their job for a new company
- Designers are the top job title so far
- Architecture is the top industry so far, so other disciplines should be sure to chime in to make sure there's data for every group
- Utilities are the top market served by Engineering respondents

Historic buildings hold a special place in the hearts of architects, workplace planners, and employees. There’s something alluring about creating workspaces within the confines of century-old stone or retrofitting a Victorian Era home into offices.
