Autodesk University 2013 – What to Expect this Year (+ a Call for Presenters)

It’s time to start thinking about Autodesk University (AU) 2013! Thanks to the AU blog, here’s what we know so far about this year’s event and how you can influence the content and presentations. If you’re up for it you can even submit a proposal to be a presenter! Based on feedback from last year’s event, Autodesk has confirmed that you can expect to see the following additions and changes to this year’s event:
  • More In-Depth, Exploration of Topics - More preliminary or follow-up roundtable discussions on the same topics as some of the lectures and hands-on labs.
  • Live-streaming of the Conference Keynote Address and Innovation Forums. These were very popular last year, so AU is going to be offering them again.
  • More Networking, Less Overload - Classes will be 90 minutes in the morning and 60 minutes in the afternoon to minimize overload and allow more time for networking.
Become a Presenter If you or someone you know is interested in presenting an educational session at this year’s event, stay tuned. AU is publishing information about this year’s tracks, how to submit a proposal to speak, and more on the AU website starting April 2. They’ll open the doors for submissions on April 23 (sign up here to be notified when the Call for Proposals goes live) Save the Date Planning on attending AU this year? Save the date: December 3-5, The Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas. Registration opens in August! If you can’t be there, don’t forget Virtual AU offers live streaming events and technical classes via the Web! Check out last year’s classes, available on-demand here.
