Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Now Includes Road, Bridge, and Drainage Modules at No Additional Cost
Today, Autodesk announced the addition of advanced features to its flagship civil engineering solution – Autodesk InfraWorks 360.
Up until now, if you wanted to access the road, drainage, and bridge design modules of the product you had to purchase them separately. Not only has Autodesk rolled these modules into the core product, they are available at no additional charge or separate subscription. If you’re an existing user, simply update your version of InfraWorks 360 to gain access to the complete package. The change comes about as Autodesk seeks to simplify the offering and enable customers to accelerate their move to BIM while continuing to improve their project workflows. For more information about the changes, read “Simplified InfraWorks 360 Offering” on the Autodesk BIM on the Rocks blog.
What is InfraWorks 360?
If you’re not familiar with InfraWorks 360 you can check it out here. Essentially, it’s a game changer transforming BIM workflows in civil infrastructure. InfraWorks 360 offers a remarkable BIM-process-based tool to determine early in the design lifecycle the best solutions for all aspects of a large or small-scale civil infrastructure projects.
It also offers an amazing ability to aggregate a wide range of data (including existing 2D CAD, 3D model, GIS and raster data; as well as LiDAR and photogrammetry input captured in the field), and then use that input to quickly create a 3D model to design within the context of reality. In a nutshell, Autodesk InfraWorks 360 helps generate more accurate preliminary design proposals, in context, at the appropriate level of detail to better predict how alternatives may perform within the built environment. And, it uniquely offers customers the benefits of maintaining a BIM workflow through planning, design, construction and operations of infrastructure assets.
