Teach yourself Sustainable Design with these Free Courses
The U.S. government has launched several initiatives aimed at incorporating the principles of sustainable design and energy efficiency into all its building projects. But how can federal, state and local designers improve their knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices?
Autodesk has assembled a series of tools, insights and resources that can help you build your skills in sustainable design and learn from others. Check these out:
• Sustainable Design Workshop – These free online course teach sustainable design in for engineers and designers. Courses include Climate and Site Analysis, Building Energy Fundamentals, Lighting and Daylight Design, Active HVAC Systems, and more.
• High Performance Building Design Courses –The Autodesk Building Performance Analysis (BPA) Certificate Program is a free, online self-paced educational program that help improve your knowledge of building science fundamentals and Autodesk building performance analysis tools. When you complete all seven courses (approximately 25-30 hours, depending on experience level), you’ll be issued a Certificate and a Badge that you can place on your resume, LinkedIn profile or portfolio.
