Autodesk Launches Four New 360 Applications
Last week, Autodesk announced the launched of three new 360 applications - Autodesk Sim 360 (a simulation and finite element modeling app), Autodesk Mockup 360 ( a simple cloud based real time collaboration and design mockup too) and Autodesk Configurator360 (an online service for hosting designs and publishing online design catalogs). This is in addition to Autodesk Fusion 360 (a web-based collaborative environment for both CAD design and simulation) which was launched at the end of June (read more here about the basics of what it has to offer). BIM-to-FM: Asset Lifecycle Management Webinar - Save the Date

How to Clean up AutoCAD Layers in a DWG File to meet your CAD Standards
Ever received a DWG file from a contractor and wanted to clean the AutoCAD layers up to meet your department’s CAD standards? Now you can. The AutoCAD Layer Translator within AutoCAD itself, lets you read a specific drawing’s layers or a DWS (Drawing Standards) file and use them as the target then select the drawings you want to translate layers from to your standard layers and map them.
