NetApp Private Storage for Amazon Web Services
If I asked you to name the top barriers government agencies face when it comes to cloud adoption, I’d be surprised if privacy, security, and compliance didn’t appear somewhere at the top of your list. So how can agencies do more in the cloud while ensuring their mission critical data and systems stay secure?
NetApp and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have teamed up to provide an enterprise private storage solution for AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2). NetApp Private Storage for AWS allows agencies to leverage the performance, customization, and control of private storage resources with the efficiency and elasticity benefits of the cloud.
In a nutshell, NetApp Private Storage for AWS provides the ability to bi-directionally replicate data from on-premises NetApp virtualized infrastructure to NetApp storage in an AWS Direct Connect colocation facility. With this structure, agencies retain full control and mobility of their data while still experiencing the benefits of the AWS cloud.
For budget-conscious agencies, the NetApp storage component can also be delivered as a consumption-based service, making the entire solution a pay-as-you-go with zero capital investment.
