DLT Teams up with Symantec for Data Security Solutions
In 1991 we set out to align ourselves with the most prominent IT software and hardware manufacturers in the world. The solutions offered by our best-in-class vendor partners would allow us to confidently support our public sector clients to the best of our ability while helping them achieve their agency missions.
That objective took us to 2001 when DLT aligned ourselves with VERITAS, the market leader in data storage, through VERITAS’S GSA Agent Program. The GSA Agent Program was designed to give any authorized VERITAS reseller a vehicle for Federal Government business when no contract vehicle existed.
Meanwhile, Symantec was positioning itself as the world leader in security technology. Fast forward to 2002 when DLT Solutions earned the right to provide Symantec’s security products to federal, state, and local government agencies through our GSA Schedule. The on-boarding of Symantec allowed us to provide our customers and partners with gateway, server and client security solutions including virus protection and firewall security.
When Symantec and VERITAS merged in 2004, it allowed DLT to provide both storage and security solutions to the public sector much more fluently and within DLT, the Enterprise Data Management division was born.
Since then, our relationship with Symantec as well our complete portfolio of data management vendors has flourished. In 2005, we launched the DLT Service Center, a 24x7 call center offering technical support throughout the lifecycle of our data management solutions. The Service Center is a multi-faceted insurance policy for Symantec, NetApp, and Quantum’s data management technology. In 2006, DLT Solutions was recognized as Symantec's Value-Added Reseller (VAR) of the Year in the U.S.
