The Federal CIO office recently published this video to help explain cloud computing from a government perspective:
This video addresses the basics of what cloud computing is, the benefits of “going green” and why moving some agency services to the cloud will help make better use of personnel and physical data center sites. However, even with all the different mandates, guidelines and agency requirements to make this shift, there are still a lot of questions about what solutions actually make up the cloud and how they can actually be incorporated into enterprise environments.
So how do agencies determine which combination of secure products and monitoring layers actually fit together?
DLT’s Cloud Advisory Group is taking questions about cloud and hosting a webcast series that will provide general knowledge of exactly what cloud computing is from a technical perspective, along with individual focus on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Cloud Security.
