And it doesn’t just have to be about the design itself – perhaps your agency has turned to CAD software to streamline workflows, save money, enhance citizen services, or improve collaboration with stakeholders. We want to hear about those achievements too.
7 Tips for Writing a Winning Submission for our 2012 CAD Awards
Planning on entering our 2012 Public Sector CAD Awards but not sure what to include in your nomination? Worried your writing isn’t up to scratch?
Let’s face it; the exercise can seem a little daunting! But an award is actually a great opportunity for you to showcase your innovation and demonstrate how you and your team has made a difference in the public sector.
But we want to hear from you and make it as easy as possible for you to be a winner this year! So without further ado, here are seven tips for writing a killer award submission!
Who’s Judging the Only Contest that Honors Achievement in Public Sector Digital Design?
Did you enter our 2012 [acronym] CAD Awards yet? Rich3D Equips Soldiers with Virtual Training Systems

The U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy need highly interactive 3D tools to deliver complex animated virtual training and simulation environments for helicopter pilots, crane operators and other professionals. To respond to this need, government contractor Rich3D, uses a variety of 3D design tools from Autodesk, and a surprising to develop and deploy the interactive training environments they need. What’s surprising about this solution is that it was accomplished using a ubiquitous tool in the U.S. government, an Adobe Acrobat document.

Yesterday the team at [acronym] was honored to host the first ever public sector CAD awards at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
Recognizing the best in digital design innovation the event brought together a broad cross-section group of finalists from across the nation and the world (we even had submissions from Guam). Each of these finalists underscored the commitment of public sector organizations and the contracting community that supports them to deliver unrivaled innovation and value through the use of digital design tools.
We also had a pretty awesome keynote speaker – Vernice “Flygirl” Armour – who shared her experiences on how to overcome even the most daunting obstacles – regardless of in flight, in business or in government.
