The applications and benefits of modern day geospatial technology are vast. From providing soldiers with improved environmental intelligence to helping a city government track potholes and street maintenance, recent years have seen a rapid increase in the ways our public sector customers are using geospatial technology.
To keep pace with our customers demand for the burgeoning technology, DLT organized and launched our Geospatial Data Systems division in 2009. Because we are very selective about the technology we sell, this is our first entirely new sales division in many years. Since then, we’ve aligned ourselves with industry leading providers of geospatial data systems, including Google, GeoEye, GeoRover, Lockheed Martin, TomTom and more to deliver powerful mapping, imaging and modeling solutions that help agencies realize the power of their GIS data.

DLT's Josh Tehan has experienced every parent’s worst nightmare – being told your child has cancer. His son, Ethan, who is now cancer-free, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) at the age of 3 and underwent three years of chemotherapy.
Now that Ethan is living the life of a typical, healthy 15-year-old, his dad wants to help other children and parents going through blood cancer treatment by raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

It's finally here!
Amazon Web Services (AWS) just announced that the Elastic File System (or "EFS") is a live production service. The service is provisioned out of three regions currently: US-EAST-1, US-WEST-2, and EU-WEST-1.
EFS was originally announced over a year ago at AWS re:Invent in 2015. By AWS standards, the service has been in "preview" for quite some time. I'll admit to you, I was getting a little skeptical that it was going to make it out of preview, but hey, it's good to be wrong sometimes.

Terrestrial laser scanning or LiDAR is just one example of reality capture (or recap) at work. But recap hasn’t always been easy. Scanning techniques are often expensive and the task of incorporating and manipulating large data sets (point clouds) during the design process is tricky.
