Eat, Drink and Be Merry – The DLT Holiday Party

“The holiday party at DLT is more than just dinner and a speech from the CEO. It’s a major event with entertainment and dancing – and sometimes even an after party – that people talk about all year long.” Luice Woo, Marketing Specialist, DLT Solutions Amongst employees, the annual DLT Holiday Party has become something to look forward to. Typically held in January, it’s been a great way to thank employees for all their hard work and to celebrate with our co-workers and their families. We help the employees embrace our “work hard, play hard” attitude by bringing in DC-area radio DJs, popular local bands, and more. Our Senior Management Team has even been known to take the stage for a musical performance or two! The DLT Social Committee is our in-house, employee-led committee responsible for planning employee events like the annual Race for the Cup scavenger hunt , Toys for Tots drive , and, of course, the Holiday Party. Thanks to the Social Committee, the holiday party has taken on an identity of its own each year. They switch things up a bit with a different theme from year to year; the most recent theme being an 80s prom complete with Atari games, prom pictures and a prom court. Previous years have showcased a casino-themed and speak easy-themed, to name a few. Music and entertainment are among the other attractions that the Holiday Party offers. And in recent years a few members of our musically inclined executive team have been taking the stage and performing songs under the name Aged and Confused - a twist on the Led Zeppelin song ‘Dazed and Confused. Plus, to provide employees with a worry-free evening for the holiday party we’ve gone ahead and reserved a block of rooms at local hotels and, when necessary, even allowed employees to take cabs home from the event with the Company underwriting the cost.
