DLT Solutions’ Execution and Focus Helps Spur Record Growth

Every year companies innovate, overcome obstacles and systematically defy the odds. The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program recognizes these efforts in its annual ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the United States and Canada. In 1999, DLT Solutions had the honor of being named one of the fastest growing companies in the country by Deloitte & Touche. The "1999 Technology Fast 500" honor was awarded to DLT Solutions based on our tremendous growth in revenues from 1994 to 1999; an increase of 973%. That trend of tremendous growth is something we learned to become very familiar with at DLT. In less than 20 years, DLT has become a shining example of what a solution provider can accomplish when it’s focused on marketing, sales and value creation. Over the past three years, federal IT spending crept forward at a rate of 3 to 5 percent annually. In that same period, our intermediary strategy has allowed our revenue to grow from $504 million in 2008 to nearly $800 million last year. “The numbers make it clear that we have been earning a larger market share for our manufacturer partners and becoming even more relevant to their public sector go-to-market strategies, said Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions. At DLT we maintain a strategy of “smart growth,” by avoiding price wars and short term opportunism to instead focus on growing the business intelligently for the long term.  Initiatives are focused on organic growth with a large investment in the technical expertise, sales training, engineering support, and marketing leadership that are unparalleled in the VAR sector. While many VARs rely on contract vehicles and set-asides, Rick invested to bring value to its public sector customers through DLT Professional Services, field engineering, the 24×7 DLT Service Center, and a Program Management Office.
