The AFCEA Montgomery Chapter Education Foundation Annual Golf Tournament is hosted by the Montgomery, Alabama AFCEA Chapter to benefit their Education Foundation. It is held in conjunction with the Montgomery IT Summit (MITS). The Chapter’s Education Foundation supports development of engineers and other technical personnel through selective motivational awards, prizes and scholarships, grants for educational activities of unique and high value, and professional educational programs. It also promotes opportunities for persons from groups under-represented in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The Chapter partners with local public schools and universities to provide scholarships, training, grants, donations, mentorships, and internships totaling over $100,000 annually.
This year’s theme is "Like OODA, Cycle Time is Our Transformational Imperative” will address how the AF and PEO BES are applying IT to Colonel John Boyd’s “OODA Loop” methodology for the acquisition and operational domains.
